Beyond Commands: Understanding the Canine Mind with
King Dog Academy
Welcome to King Dog Academy (KDA)! We are happy to announce the global launch of King Dog Academy, an extension of Turkey's renowned Kral Köpek Ailesi (www.kralailesi.com) to the world. Our mission is simple but revolutionary: to teach people the dog's perspective, how to become a "manager dog" and how to communicate with their canine friends like a real dog. Our guiding principle is our motto: “Knowledge, Dialogue, and Action.”
Established in Istanbul, Turkey, in 2017, KKA (Kral Kopek Ailesi - Akademi) has already supported over 5,000 paying members and built an amazing community of more than 300,000 members in social media channels. Before actually founding KKA in 2017, we have laid its foundation back in 2007, and since then, we have been involved in various fields about dogs, from dog hotels and training centers to special dog breeding centers, from canine communication courses to actor dog training centers. In this journey with our canine friends, we have been able to make unlimited number of observations through extensive and practical experiences, which helped us to truly understand dogs from their perspective.

A New Perspective on Our Canine Friends
At King Dog Academy, we believe that a harmonious relationship with your dog cannot be built with commands or a simple system of rewards and punishments. Instead, it's built on a foundation of mutual respect and trust. We challenge common beliefs and explain that true understanding comes from seeing the world through our canine friends’ eyes.
Many conventional training methods aim to condition dogs to perform or stop actions based on the desires of humans. We've found that trying to force our canine friends to conform to the human world is often a meaningless action. However, when we change our approach to evaluate things from dogs’ perspective and discontinue wrong communication methods, then our canine friends, regardless of their age, breed, or gender, can get balanced and willingly give all the responsibility to us. We will teach you to see your dog as a "canine friend" with whom you share your environment with mutual respect and trust and whose responsibility you can learn to manage effectively.
Introducing: "The Handbook of the Manager Dog" – Now in English!
We are happily announcing the Kindle eBook release of our first printed book: "The Handbook of the Manager Dog." [Will be available in October 2025 on Amazon] This book combines years of experience and observations from thousands of dogs, offering you the essential knowledge to build a respect-based bond with your canine friend.
In this book, you will explore:
Your canine friend’s perspective and how it explores its social environment.
The rules of communication within a pack.
The basic needs of an adult dog, including proper care and feeding conditions based on their perspective.
Practical ways to become a balanced "manager dog".
Techniques to reduce stress on your canine friend and strengthen the bonds of trust.
How to establish positive "short connections" to help your canine friend get balanced.
In addition to practical information, this book aims to provide you with the fundamental information needed to truly understand and communicate with your canine friend in a way it can naturally understand. You will find details about why they behave the way they do, understand their unique problem-solving methods, what they experience in the city life, and why they live by "short connections" instead of cause-and-effect reasoning like we do.

Why Our Approach Works
Our canine friends don't perceive us or their environment in the same way as we do. For example, they do not have self-awareness or bodily awareness like us; they essentially see everything that can interact with them as another "dog". The key is to understand such fundamental differences between us and our canine friends. Humanizing them - often with good intentions (like treating them as family members instead of pack members) - can lead to imbalance and stress for your canine friend because it doesn’t comply with their natural communication and social structures. Our methods focus on treating a dog as a dog, respecting their communication ways, and establishing yourself as a capable and trustworthy pack manager who can be given responsibility.
The Journey Ahead with KDA
The launch of "The Handbook of the Manager Dog" in English on Amazon Kindle is just the beginning of our global journey. We will initially promote the eBook through our website, www.kingdogacademy.com, and our social media channels. Soon, we will offer self-study online video courses, one-on-one video call consultations, and much more to support you in developing a deeper and more respectful relationship with your dog.
We invite you to join the King Dog Academy community and start your journey of understanding your canine friend like never before. Learn to become the pack manager your canine friend trusts and respects, leading to a more balanced and happy life for both of you.
